Gardening – Fruit Trees

Arriving home  I found on my door step 2 long brown cardboard boxes. Feeling excited I guessed it was the fruit trees I had ordered a few weeks back. They did say delivery at the end of September.

Taking them round the back I laid the boxes on the table, found my scissors and carefully unwrapped to find the small trees planted in small flowerpots.

Taking them out I took off the plastic around the pots and stood them in water for a couple hours. This was to give them time to get adjusted to their new surroundings.

The pots they were being put in had been prepared a few weeks back and now they were ready to receive their trees.

Where the pots will stand next year I have not decided but for now they are in this spot that get quite a bit of sun during the Autumn/Winter/Spring during the day.
