Touring the Garden in January 2914

Now the weather has calmed down and it is dry I have had a chance to look round the garden. I have two yellow poppies flowering. The Wallflowers are in bud. The Holly tree is now bare of the berries. So it seems the birds have been busy. My bulbs are mostly up with their green leaves/stems are showing.

Nature is a wonderful thing and gives us all great pleasure and is free for all.

Visiting the bird station I was delighted to see the family of six long tailed \tits visiting the other morning. That is twice I have seen them.

I am happy to say that my garden suffered no damage in the recent storms.

Glad there is no damage Mary – your garden sounds wonderful. You might want to change the year though.
