Spotty visited the vets 2 weeks ago. Apart from her back legs and the Arthritis she has a healthy heart and lungs. She now has the pain tablet of ‘Tramadol’ twice a day.
The walks have been very slow and very short. Up to the end of the road on one side and back up the other. Prior to the vets I could see she was in a lot of pain and yet she battled on – fighting it. All her concentrating on walking with no ‘smells’.
I now go to the local park by car and we walk round the pond. She will have a drink and paddle in the stream as you can see by the photo.
This is Me drinking the refreshing stream water
It does come back to her. Yesterday we went to the pond and the swans have one baby cygnet. So small so fluffy grey swimming with the parents.
I do love to walk and observe nature
Spotty was finding eating difficult as the plates and her paws were slipping everywhere so I bought this stand for the dishes and it works very well.
Last week I looked after my sons’ dog Ruby. Ruby walks quickly, Spotty walks slowly.
I found that Spotty enjoyed Ruby’s’ company and it seemed to boost her moral. They have always got on so well. I was able to walk Spotty further than usual. They slept together at night. One in the basket’ one under the table in her small bed.
