Fan – Freedom on the Beach

1. Waiting to go out

Fan is waiting to go for her walk.

When going out of this door

she knows it will be

a ride in the car somewhere.

After a showery morning the afternoon presented its self with sunshine with  it feeling a little cooler than of late.

We went to Aberavon beach. I parked in the layby and changed into my blue wellington boots.

Fan got out of the car like a ‘lady’ and waited for me to lock the doors. Going down the steps we made our way down onto the beach. The tide was coming in and there were a few dog walkers.

Today Fan was to have her first experience of being off the lead. I was pleasantly surprised to see how she ran like the wind but returned to me. She played with the other dogs and spent much time going down on her belly as sheep dogs do. Despite Fan getting wet I find she dries very quickly

Yes, today I took the camera and share these photos with you.

The sea came and washed up over the lower half of her body.

All she needed was some love and I’m glad you’re providing that for her Mary. She is very confident now under your guidance. 🙂 Chester sends both of you some big sloppy kisses.

  2. Thanks for your comment. At the moment they have started letting off fireworks (it’s only 4 November) with big bangs and so she has gone into the bottom of the wardrobe.Be glad when they have finished but we usually have them going on ’till after the weekend.

Looks like a lovely day. And what a good dog. She’s very pretty. I also live with two border collies, an old one and a pup.

  4. Lovely pictures! Of Fan and of Aberavon Beach!
    All the best 🙂

Awwww, beautiful Fan and she just looks so sweet. We can see that things are working out with the two of you very well. She is smart and learning quickly…that was great that she ran and then returned to you. You two are a perfect fit and I am happy for you and for her. Hugs for you and nose kisses for Fan
