Margam Park in S. Wales, held an event called DOGS TRUST BRIDGEND FUN DAY.
As you know in previous posts I had a dog from them, who escaped….missing 8 days…. difficult dog and hence taken back. Despite the experience I still like to support them.
What an assortment of dogs were there with owners, including Benji. I’d say it was a dogs day to meet and greet fellow dogs.
On arriving I found the tent saying INFORMATION was being manned by ‘A’ who’d helped me at the centre. We chatted and I was told Fan was in Bristol at a foster home that had 5 more collies and was doing a lot of agility exercises and going to shows. This has put my mind at rest and feel now I can ‘let go’.
I entered Benji in MOST HANDSONE DOG –MALE In this category the ring was full and 3 circles had formed. 12 were chosen but Benji did not qualify.
GOLDEN OLDIE not so many this time again nothing achieved.
BEST RESCUE DOG – MALE and he came 2nd and came home with a rosette that’s now placed beside his Cup and other Rosette.
The carers and dogs of the Trust came into the ring. and we were told their circumstances and all were awaiting adoption.
We were lucky with the weather being dry with the sun showing through occasionally.
