Socialising–Benji–Garden

I am enjoying my group on a Friday morning. As it says ‘KNIT & NATTER’.n Each week there is a new item that we take home with us to make. Cannula Mitts are popular at the moment and we have been making Fish & Chip Vests for the children in Africa. Evidently these new borns are sent home wrapped in newspaper hence the name.

After our meeting we all go to one of our local cafe’s. Neath has so many now so we have lots to choose from. When I moved here in 1977 there were only 2 cafe’s.

We also like to out socially and in August going to Brecon and a trip on the canal. The other week we enjoyed a comedy play at THE GRAND THEATRE in Swansea.

Benji was at the vets the other week as his Anal Glands were infect – a course of antibiotic – followed the next week with the Vet doing whatever it is with them.

He loves his walks with me. I now keep him on an extension lead ‘cos when off the lead he will go quite a distance. Despite this he does come back but these day so much happens with dogs going missing. As the lead is attached to his collar but I ‘m now going to purchase a dog harness so then it won’t pull on his throat/neck.

I have a lovely couple down the road from me who have the dog Tizzy. We often visit . Benji likes it there as they have a lawn, whereas at home its patio, no grass.

Wednesday I’m going out all day so he will be going to be with them.

On our walks to the park we observe the Swans. The bottom swans have 4 babies and sometimes they can be seen at the middle pond. Another set of Swans are on the 3rd pond and have7 which includes 1  white. I believe we call this and ‘Albino’ Down on our canal are more Swans so we have a lot to keep us amused this year.

The garden is doing really well this year. it’s a treat to have no workmen around as I had last year and everything can stay where it is. Cherry tree has many cherries jut ripening. 3 Apples on that tree. I’ve just purchased a pressure washer and so before long can sort out the patios. This work I love to do as it fascinates me to watch how the dirt is magically removed. I did ask someone to pressure hose but at £150 I turned it down.

Welll all for now folks. Enjoy your read and comment/like as you please
