Spotty One Christmas–Memory

I still miss Spotty and whilst sorting out my blogs found this one. Which year I do not know. I share this memory with you

CHRISTMAS DAY

Spotty began her Christmas Day by sniffing at the colourful Christmas wrapped presents , placed on her ‘pillow’. Next she had help to unwrap and find doggy treats.

I believe our pets know when it’s a special day.

Over at my sons’ she enjoyed a dinner of Turkey as did Ruby her friend.

Before the meal both dogs were taken for a short walk along Swansea Promenade. At the steps leads were taken off and both dogs dashed down onto the sands and had a run around as well as sniffing at the seaweed. It was cold but dry and there were very few dogs or Humans  on the beach.

Once back home Spotty relaxed as did I.

BOXING DAY

Her adventure was an exciting one. Walking down to the Castle Hotel in town we were off to see the Boxing Day Hunt.

Again the weather was kind an dry. Spotty sat beside me and watched the horses as they walked around waiting for the time to start.

Five minutes before time the hounds arrived and gathered round the Master of the Hunt. You could see how they were well loved as he gave them ‘treats.’

At precisely eleven o’clock The Bugle was blown. They were off. On passing close by to Spotty they paused and both spoke to each other.

Spotty (I believe) asked could she join them but their reply was a ‘no’ as it would be too far and she would not keep.

LAST DAY OF DECEMBER

Spotty walked down into town and along to her favourite shop, with myself. The day morning had been very wet but in the afternoon the sun came out and it was pleasant.

Once inside ‘her’ ladies came to speak to her and gave her treats. One of them came with me and helped to choose a new waterproof coat for Spotty. This one covers her more than the one she has at present. Spotty then went to sniff all the lovely goodies. With Christmas over they had been put back in their usual place and Spotty knew where to find them.

Walking home we met one of the ladies from the Vet clinic we got to. She was given a lovely stroke while the adults chatted away.

next came the gentleman  from up the road again the same procedure. it is so nice that a lot of people know Spotty and stop to make a fuss  and pass the time of day with her.

It was a nice end to the day

We never stop missing our fur babies that have gone from this life. You loved sweet Spotty and she loved you so much and it is well understood that you still miss her sweet Mary. It is nice to look back on some of the sweet memories you have of her. Hugs
